As far as I can!!

Extremism kills!!

And for some people, it is more than killer..

I am, apparently, a very conservative person, with seemingly diplomatic approaches towards all insignificant aspects of life.

But, inherently, there is an inescapable extremism in my attitude towards with respect to many of my philosophies and more often than not, it is on the negative side.

Whenever I take a job in my hand, the first question that crosses my mind is whether I can finish it completely in the stipulated time.

No, a job can be anything ranging from some specific tasks like reading a book or finishing some technical project to a life-long activy like increasing general knowledge or shaping your health.

e.g. At a certain point of time, I thought of increasing my G.K. and the first question that crossed my mind was "Can I really comprehend all the knowledge on this earth that is supposedly general? "
The answer was definitely "No" and so was my response. I never looked back towards increasing my G.K.

Health : again came to a similar question. Can I really build "Arnie" kind of muscles in this life?
Answer : "What you kidding me? "

And lo, I never indulged in any serious exercise thereafter..

So goes a long list of activities just because I thought I will never be able to wind up them entirely in the amount of time I wanted to spend.

But, now I realise that no one can attain complete authority on any arena of life, given the very nature of human mind, there is no such thinh like "Perfection".

We can only strive for being "excellent".

I certainly realise that human spirit is indomitable and if u indulge in any activity with the mindset of something like "I 'll strive to traverse this path As Far As I Can"..actually, you will end up being the best runner in that path.

So, shedding off this extremism for attaing everything, which, rather than a booster, has always acted to weaken my actions..hence forth, in all possible ventures, the new punchline I am going to apply is "As Far As I Can".

Moreover, it is much so simple to remember...:D

Given the fact that I have returned to my deserted blogger space after such a long time, I do not want to end my post with this little advice of mine..So down here I am pasting, with due modification, something I posted in the intra-blog of my company today....

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had been recently on reading spree!!

Finished with three books : Atlas Shrugged, Five pt. Someone, To Sir With Love..

Given the fact that I am slightly relaxed, I may be able to finish "Cryptonomicon" also in 2-3 weeks..though it is a 1153 page e-book I have hidden in my pc, and I have to tune my time with sheer perfection to escape from my MLs while reading it.....
Now,
Atlas Shrugged : A 1078 page book in 7pt priting..this book consumed 3 months of my time...but I'll still say that it was worth it...The book gives you an alternative way of living life expatiating on every possib;e philosophy coprising of love, money, sex, hard work, business, communism and that too in a masterly compilation of classy English and deep observation..Afterall, it took 12 yrs of Ayn Rand to finish this book.
Five Pt. Someone, what not to do at IIT : Here you go, with a cheap-chap storyline built around the most prestigious B-Tech college of India...hardly thought provoking dude...compiled in a very episodic and disinteresting style of writing..dunno how it became bestseller.. except for a few smart-aleck comments, and a few emotional and comic twists, applied with studied methodology of using ethos on an average Indian reader......this book is certainly not any kind of rememberable piece of literature.. work of an amateur...
To sir with love : The most disarming aspect of this book is the simplicity with which it is written, in a particulary lucid and proper English with due emphasis on important events...all feelings of the writer expressed in a scholarly manner..this book is a autobiography of a Black, who come face to face with the reality of racism in Britain, and then his interaction as tecaher with school - children. No unneeded gibberish, a lovely read from start to end..
So, here I finish...
Not that I am just a critic of books to scribble my views periodicaly, I have to pen down a lot of my own views in the space I own..but ..not today.later
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recently I longed a lot for writing..with hundreds of thoughts daily capturing my mind..

But, out of some inexplicable reasons, I think, this post well-deserves to be stopped at this point...

Will try to return sooner next time..

Happy new Year!!

And here I am on the last exam of my training schedule..
One more to go, and I will be a free bird..atleast as far as exams are concerned..finally I
will get the feeling of being an out-of-college, working ,responisble guy,I guess...
And yeah,got my first salary..
What!!
Why am I filling my blog with this utterly boring senseless non-sense....coz I don't have
anything on my mind to discuss.. and secondarily I want to let go my readers from the
embarassment of visiting 'My First Ghazal' everytime they oblige on my blog..
By the way, one crystal clear observation I made during my infy training is that the lesser
time you get for yourself, the smarter you become at utilising the remnants of time you get
for yourself.
I can't believe that I finished three books in just about a month, loaded with the syllabus
of my 4-yr long college..
So,the books!! I love so much talking about them...and talking more about them...and
talking...ok..ok....n times!!
I finished "The Kite Runner"...the story of Afghan Hazara boy....waas touched...
Second.."Iaococca's autobiography"...the story of the person ,who brought a countery from
the brim of bankruptcy to a leading car industry./.
Last ...but certainly not the least.."The Diary Of Young Girl:Anne Frank"..And was really
moved .....
The thought that a 15 yr old gal was given such a painful death....for no reason at
all..sends shivers down my spine...the more I read her diary, the more I can relate with
it...how much she wanted to live..and how her ambitions, her desires, were oppressed,
killed by the realities of life.....why?..just for being a jew...!!
A lot of things sem to have been happening all around..and have failed to catch a lot..lets
see what lies ahead.
And, as far as news section is concerned ,have got my posting in Banglore....!!
Happy new year to all of you..

Crash…Bang…!!

The collection I ‘ve been nurturing for 6 months, and have been proudly boasting of…,all the research work that I subjected my self to in this dauntingly boring vacation, all the songs, scenes, videos, that helped me remain rejuvenated amidst this nothing-to-do dictation, the pictures, snaps, voices of all my colleagues, friends, on which my visits to nostalgia depended…….ahhh!! everything, everything became a victim to one unwelcome mistake….and the result……bang!! The hard-disk… needed to be formatted upside down.….

It had not been that saddening but for one thing……., I ‘ve not made a single back-up of the maximum part of the past memorabilia, I ‘ve been thoroughly gathering……

Viewing it form another point, which is difficult to attain, it has gave a new and a fresh start….

Clicking the directories and finding them completely empty though reminds me of the nothing-is-permanent nature of this very existence, but I have, in other words, got rid of all the garbage that had duly accumulated in my disk, my system has regained its strength after surviving this horrid accident…

Having passed three suffocating days devoid of internet made me realize one thing, life is a shit w/o a computer and a bull-shit w/o internet on it :D

May lord never put me in any such situation again..!! Amin…..

Dudes and dudettes, having gone through my painful plight, I hope u ‘d help me in recollecting some of my past ventures back on my pc ….. hehe …. What about initiating this by lending me a few CDs full of movies, songs and …… et al….I promise I’ll return them really soooooon this time…..next year…..!!

A Brush with a Dentist!!

Everytime I go to them, my blood stream doubles it's pace with apprehension.....

Each time my mind tells me that its just a regular check-up , a routine... but as and when I enter their cell, all of a sudden, unanticipated realities come to te picture.

This time, it was nothing different.

I called on to a dentist to get one of my teeths checked which was showing a slight gum erosion...

And guess what I had to countenance, a sad departure with one of my beloved tooths...!! The tooth which acompanied me for 21 long yrs..

The moment the doctor saw my tooths, a mental counting begun in his head and resulted in an awkward shock to me that I am blessed with one extra tooth..

An x-ray of my tooth and a closer look at it's whereabouts showed that it's one of my milk-tooths which rejected to leave me alone has accompanied all along, forcing the permamanent teeth in that place to take a different route fom inside.

Now, you guys know why I have that cannibal-looking pointed tooth, because it did not get it's space.

But, "shareer nashwar hai" and so are it's milky-components and so was my beloved tooth.

The doctor adviced me to have it removed.

And then he came up with the most common dentist-lie "It's not going to hurt."

Yeah that is the favourite statement of all the dentists, just a few days back,I saw it in a movie ,where a CIA agent (a gal!!) tells to a villain-dentist before kicking him on his face, "I am not going to lie like all dentists: It's going to hurt."

All said, I must agree that dentist was very caring person and it actually didn't hurt at all, after that dose of anaesthasia, in my mouth.

Even after an hour, I was unabl to feel the left side of muy mouth and nose.Touching them felt like touching dead-cells.

What I feared most was the procedure of removing the tooth!!

I always thought taht he will just pluck the teeth out using some of his tools, yeah that is what I thought,no need to laugh.

And I was anxiously avoiding that one moment, reciting all the prayers I ever learned.

But, it was nothing like that.He jsut took one instrument and grilled my tooth out.It was gone before I even knew, my beloved tooth !! I'll miss it so much.... though it was quiet a reason for an apparent disfiguration on my face, but it's loss has been no better. It has left a spot on my upper section of my mouth, which will always remind me of that lost tooth.

Ok,Ok. All said, the only thing I cared was that this removal might not result in some obscure wrying of my face, the primary concern :D, you know the smile should not be affected.

After removing my teeth, he thorughly removed all the plaque left anywhere on my teeths saving me a precious time on my brush...

Last time when I went to a dentist,it was 5 yrs. back, again for a perfunctinaory checking, out of some swelling on left side of my face, teh x-ray told me that I had generated a tumor, soemthing called "Ameloblastoma" (will never be able to pronounce it!!) and it required an immediate operation.

It took around four months from beginning to end.. , a precious time when I remind that I was in tenth standard, and I had to get my 4 teeths removed.
The tumor, when it was removed ,shocked me with it's size.
I had just learned to live with the spots they left and lo!! here I am back with a new one.....

Man, here I am ,all safe and secure, with one more brush with a Dentist, just waiting for my next brush with another dentist and hoping ,may it never occur..

All I got to say is, Brush ur teeths properly, or it's gonna hurt.

Catch u ....

Corporate !!

First of all, berfore poring down ,all of you be aware of one critical fact about this article.

It's not a satire.

It's more than that..... :D

Todays, I am back from my second session of training, and slightly tired .......

After three days of rigporous training I encountered,(yes, only 3 days) , I wonder what else is left 4 them 2 teach for next 2 months.

But 40 hrs of journey & Rs.800+ of expenditure for 3 days of training is something I am still not able to gulp down my stomach.

Now, there can be only two possible reasons for this unanticipated call for getting trained.....

Either they are afraid of losing out the candidates or our predecessors have quiet itimidated them with their performance.....

Well, if it is the first case, then the behavior they have exerted will be called nothing else but childish... coz in this country inundated with unemployed intelligence, they hardly need to worry.

In the second case, I believe, atleast as far as I am concerned, the kind of tough nuts we are, the session is hardly goin to intimidate us and bent us down towards studies...

Man, how can u study, when u don't have to employ that slogging next day.

Thats the only reason colleges are so successful (again, don't count me in) in forcing students to their knees for studying.

Well, still being a technocal guy is much better than being in HR I guess....atleast 4 no-nonsense guys like me....who want their bread in peace,,rather than passing their days throwing crap, unnecessary, flowery statements......

Umm.. if u r looking 4 some comcluding statement and searching for the word 'corporate' in my blog, let me remind u I am tired..my brains not working..:D

So, if u have read this crap so long, God has blessed u with enough patience.

catch u again :D
